This hotel is a hidden gem in the heart of a charming town. The attention to detail in the rooms is evident, with beautiful furnishings and a nice view from the small patio facing the garden. The staff is warm and friendly, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is perfect, right on the main square, making it easy to explore the town and its surroundings.
All was satisfactory, nothing to complain about.

location in the heart of Burgundy, safe parking, free bottled water in the room, quaint
spacious bathroom, however it shows signs of use. The fact that the hotel opens into a long narrow courtyard and that some rooms can only be accessed from a gallery overlooking that courtyard means that when you leave the windows open people going to other rooms loom into yours. The restaurant terrace is also located in that courtyard.

Delightful historic building, open as an hotel since 1707. Very quiet and sophisticated.
Would be difficult for the disabled and poor breakfast.

This charming hotel is located in the centre of a stunning city in France. the rooms are clean and some are exceptionally large, with beautiful decor. the staff is nice and helpful, although their English is limited. the previous restaurant had a wonderful a la carte menu, and the hotel also offers free parking and strong WiFi.
Some repairs may be needed in certain rooms.

Loved the charming atmosphere and historical feel of the hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving great recommendations for dining and nearby attractions. The breakfast was fantastic, with a generous spread of delicious pastries, breads, meats, and cheeses. The location was perfect, with beautiful churches and villages to explore nearby.
The hotel could use some updating, as the peeling wallpaper and frayed carpets were a bit off-putting. the dinner menu could have had more vegetarian options, as the salad I ordered ended up having fruit in it, which was not what I expected.

Avallon is a lovely small town with a lot of history and a convenient stopover en route to South of France or Italy from uk. The hotel is part of that history and atmospheric. This was our second stay in 5 years, and it seemed a little tired this time but still worth a visit. The room and bathroom were large and the bed comfortable. The receptionists were charming. Parking at the back of the hotel is good, but we'd recommend dropping off luggage at front first!
WiFi Chargeable.

During my Christmas stay, I really enjoyed the historical charm of the hotel. the central courtyard, which has been a popular spot for over 300 years, was particularly impressive. the food in the restaurant was exceptional, and there was also plenty of choice for breakfast. the private car park was also a huge advantage, as it meant we didn't have to worry about finding parking in a busy area.
Our room was not as comfortable as we had hoped. the beds were quite hard, and the heating wasn't very effective, which meant we didn't get the best night's sleep.
